CREATING the HUNTER
Hunter has been designed from the ground up to optimise the FIA regulations for four wheel drive cross country vehicles. Prodrive has used its three decades of motorsport engineering experience to create the most advanced T1 car.

space frame chassis
At the heart of the Hunter is a bespoke space frame chassis designed to protect the occupants with its FIA approves safety cage but also to be strong, durable and light to optimise performance.
ENGINE
The Hunter uses a 3.5 litre V6 twin turbo engine which has had its performance and economy optimised by our engine design team and extensively tested on our transient dyno. It can also run on Prodrive EcoPower a fully sustainable fuel as an alternative to race spec petrol.

PRODRIVE ECOPOWER
Prodrive EcoPower is a sustainable fuel made from agri-cultural waste and blended to make a 102 octane race fuel which meets FIA regulations. Its CO2 emissions are 80% less than equivalent petrol and the BRX team ran the fuel successfully in all three Hunters over a combines distance of 25,000km on the Dakar with no performance or reliability issues.
SUSPENSION
A unique feature of the Hunter is the suspension design. We have been able to attach the springs and dampers to the lower wishbone, and in doing so lower the height of the car's bonnet optimising the drivers' visibility.

COCKPIT
With many hours spent each day in the car, the Hunter cockpit has been designed around the driver and co-driver, with key controls and information screens easy to use and access.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Prodrive designs and manufacturers the entire electrical and electronics systems. We only use the best motorsport control systems suppliers, who we have worked with for many years.

SUSTAINABLE COMPOSITES
Hunter is the first motorsport vehicle in the world to use Prodrive's award-winning recyclable composites. Regulations will almost certainly enforce the use of such sustainable materials in the future.
